Mental Health Services When and Where You Need THem

At MCC we acknowledge that life can be hectic, that’s why we offer both in person and teletherapy sessions to accommodate your schedule.

PREGNANCY LOSS

Preparing to bring a child into the world should be a magical time for families. Excitement and expectation builds over nine months as the squishy lump of a baby seen in the earliest scan grows into a cute little human, ready for life. When the unimaginable becomes a reality to be faced, and the dreams for your little one will never be realized, the confusion and grief felt by parents can be debilitating. If this is your experience with pregnancy, MCC extends its deepest condolences to you and your family. We share in your sadness for the baby that you had already grown to love so much and want to come alongside you with the coping strategies, communication skills and support that you need during this difficult time.

ANXIETY

Have you been experiencing a persistent sense of impending danger or panic? Have you struggled to cope with excessive worry and irritability? Has it become more and more difficult to concentrate on and complete daily tasks? Or has your sleep hygiene suffered due to restlessness and cyclical thoughts? You may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety, and you may be noticing that these symptoms are beginning to impact your work, leisure activities, relationships and sense of self. Motor City Counseling has the tools you need to learn how to quiet your mind and ultimately pursue peace.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

During weekdays, the average American spends 60% of his or her waking hours working. This time can be wrought with high stress situations, difficult peer encounters, frustrations with corporate political hierarchy and questions like “Is this job a good fit for me” or “How long can I continue do this?” At MCC we truly believe that by developing healthy boundaries between work and play, keeping an inventory of values, interests and skills, finding the confidence to ask for the things you need and making changes when necessary, you can navigate your career with vision and joy.

Depression

Have you been experiencing feelings of pervasive and persistent sadness and hopelessness? Have you lost interest in the activities that once brought you joy? Do you spend your days “slogging through” feeling fatigued by your normal daily rhythms? You are not alone, in fact according to the NIMH 19.4 million adults in the US suffered from at least one major depressive episode in 2019 alone. The good news is that Motor City Counseling has the tools you need to mitigate your most disruptive symptoms and get you back in the driver’s seat where you belong.
